As I’m typing this (saturday night), I am only SLIGHTLY just a little loopy! Hoorah! We just got back from one of TWO christmas parties for Kev’s work. Tonight was sales staff, but Kev got invited as he helps out a lot somehow. Whatever. I don’t ask. Because FREE GOBS OF ITALIAN FOOD AND WINE! By the time I had a glass of wine, a big salad, and TWO yummy soft garlicy cheesy dinner rolls (dinner took a long time to come out for a party of 13), I was too full to eat more than a few bites of my cheesy tortellini and italian sausage. Errr…but not too full to have my share of a slice of white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. And another glass of wine. And coffee. Wheeeee!!!! More »« Less
Hey! There was a party yesterday! Knitters and spinners converged on the house of blogless Jacquie, and on her two little dogs, many cats, and one parrot. It was the animal house! Except the cats were outside. There was soooo much food. I decided to experiment at a party that was not my own and make a acorn squash and bleu cheese galette, topped with carmalized onions. Being that there were only a few scraps left, I’d say it was a success. The only reason it probably wasn’t gone completely was the fact that there was OH MY GOD SO MUCH FOOD!
