A year’s worth of fiber

OH I am tired.  So tired.  This weekend was so fun and so…um…expensive.  But fun!  And that’s what counts.

I concentrated mainly on fiber for this SAFF.  I only purchase one skein of yarn the entire weekend - woohoo!  Restraint!  But fiber…ohhhh, so much fiber. More »« Less

Today Sandy had some of us over to her house for fiber dyeing fun. This was ideal for me, because:

1. I need to dye some yarn as per my Mission Possible 2008 objectives

fleece navidad!

Hey! There was a party yesterday! Knitters and spinners converged on the house of blogless Jacquie, and on her two little dogs, many cats, and one parrot. It was the animal house! This is also a common theme for the weekend. We finally arrived in Asheville and tried to make sense of a small map and some confusing city streets. Eventually we found our way to the restaurant and the rest of our cozy little group where we enjoyed a very delicious dinner. Back at the hotel, we spent the rest of the evening enjoying wine and my homemade chocolate crack cookies.
