or something. I’m doing it. Not writing a novel. That’s too much pressure. But I think I can probably manage a blog post every day. Surely I have SOMETHING I can talk about every day. Right?
Yeah.
Soooo…
How…’bout them….uhhh…Red Sox?
OK, I’m going to steal an idea from Jen, because she started talking about it last weekend at SAFF and it’s become a little thought worm that’s worked it’s way into my brain and now I’m kind of obsessing about it.
What colors do you see me as? Meaning, when you think of me, as I know you do, admit it, do you associate any colors with me? What colors do you think of for yourself? Ask around the office, or significant others - what colors do they associate with you, and do they agree with what you thought? I’m not sure what you can tell by the results. I’m just curious. It would be interesting if what others thought of you, and what you thought of yourself agreed most of the time. I’m sure there is already some kind of hippie aura reading kind of thing to tell you what your “colors” are and what that means and what kind of mate would be right for you because of it. But let’s not go there. Close your eyes. Think of yourself. Or me. Or someone else. And what colors are there? Simple as that.
I’ll give my answers in the comments, once I get a few responses.
I tend to think of light blues and purples when I think of you.
I think of the vibrant end of the fall color spectrum for you–dark and bright reds, dark and bright golds, deep cranberries, rich browns (like cocoa–with hints of red undertones). You know, like spicy Indian food (’cause you’re zingy like that) or like delicious chocolate desserts (’cause you’re richly satisfying like that).
And what colors do you see for ME, Miss ESC? I’m curious now.
I’m with soft(but not pastel) greens, yellows, browns. And some deep reds. Because they are the kids of colors I associate with life. And your one of the most lively people I know. They are also constant, which you are one. Your a constant blogger, and you seem like a consistent person. All wonderful things! I have no idea which color I’d associate with your funny side… But I’m sure it matches impeccable with all the above!
I’m with Aimee. I thought PUMPKIN! Autumn! Piles of leaves! Vibrant fall colors.
The first thing that jumped into my head was browns to tans to apricot. OK, that’s three colors, but that range. I’m not going to ask you for my colors, because lumpy is not a color!
I think of dark rich blues and greens when I think of you. But that could be because of the nosewarmer. =P
Orange, quickly followed by pink followed by “Oh my goodness, I love the dye job in that pot!” I always was a sucker for rainbows.
Orange with smatterings of blue…
that’s kind of funny. I’ve always thought of myself in fall colors as well, though lately I’ve been feeling the softer spectrum - warm browns and soft pinks. seems like we’re mostly in agreement, then. INTERESTING!
lessee…
Grace - black background with neon bursts - pink! green!
Aimee - yellow, but a warm, buttery yellow. And soft rose.
Jamie - Red and chocolate brown and a little grass green. Which is unfortunate, probably, because that’s probably what you’re covered with at the end of a shift in the ER…
Stacey - sagey green and orange
Chickengoddess - no lumpy colors for you! red, orange, and purple
turtlegirl - Green, of course, and also golden yellow
Jen - bright purple! and a greenish aqua.
WG - deep orange and a dark blue
how close was I?
You did good! My favorite color is electric blue. You picked colors that are kissing cousins to electric blue.
Did you do that dye pot in the pic? It looks ultra-cool.
I tend to think of myself in shades of grey, but I like your colors better.
