Hello, my name is ESC and I’m an…alcoholic?

What the hell? They tailor the ads in each person’s blog to the content of the blog. I’ve been talking about boring science crap 75% of the time. I write one entry about a bachellorette weekend, and suddenly the ads are about “drinker’s check up” and “drink less.” Both internet sites geared towards helping alcoholics. I’m probably making it worse with this entry. Crap. Let’s see what I can do about that…

Entertaining!

I stole this from another person’s blog - my apologies - but it’s hysterical!

Dildo song

Quit your god-damned whining!!!!!

Are 8th grade boys and girls the only ones who have blog? Swear to God, if I read one more blog about the agony of puberty I’m going to fling my god-damned labtop out the window!

My hot date…

God I love grocery shopping. I love going in with a fistful of coupons. I love comparing prices. I love getting the receipt at the end and seeing that “you saved $X by shopping with us!” K and I went to 3 different places last night. Yes, a hot friday night date, I know. We’re such the grownups now.

I love the Dekalb county farmers market. I strongly suggest anyone who’s spending any amount of time in atlanta check it out. Their fresh produce is great, and cheap cheap! And very exotic. I don’t even know what most of the stuff is. Strange spikey fruits and leafy veggies. Who knew there were different varieties of bok choy? Lovely. I always try to buy something new each time. Last night I picked out some swiss chard. RED swiss chard. I’m told that I will like it if I like spinach.

Snotty hippies love the farmer’s market for their organic selection. The have lots of organic dairy and meat products, too. Exotic meat, like buffalo and ostrich. But all of that is expensive (organic = $$$). And I am poor. So produce from farmer’s market, and hormone and antibiotic injected meat from Krogers (BOGO free pork loin, yay!) One day, I will be able to afford organic everything. Damned hippies.

Progress report

Second dimension seemed to go well - and managed to blot on friday. Went in today and the whole thing hadn’t collapsed. The only thing I forgot to do was UV the gel before blotting. D’OH!!! Oh, well, this is a practice run, after all. I’ll remember it next time.
