testify!

last night, during some very pleasant activities.

Kev: I can really tell that going to Curves is having an effect.

Me: Oh? how.

Kev: heehee…because now I can really lift up and push back your legs. look, almost to your ears!

Me: ow. not THAT far.

Kev: almost! plays around with how flexible my legs are now

Me: ow. stop it. That would be the best testimonial ever! I should write a letter. Hehehe…”dear Curves…”

Kev: hehehehe…”thank you for helping me get so flexible. my boyfriend is so happy with all the good sex we’re having”

Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!! Yeah, they’ll hang THAT one on the wall.

a geek among geeks

In the lab, talking to two other lab monkeys, and our computer guy.

me: the tea I got has directions for making tea on each individually wrapped tea bag!

lab monkey #2: so? maybe some people need more help with making tea

me: sure, it’s nice to know how long to leave the tea bag in there. but there’s an arrow from the little cartoon tea bag to the cup, like I don’t understand the concept of brewing tea at all.

lab monkey #1: that’s pretty funny.

me: it’s like that guy from hitchhiker’s guide to the universe, who thinks it the end of the world or something because of instructions on a box of toothpicks.

lab monkey #1: huh?

computer guy: sorry

lab monkey #2: didn’t read that one….

me: what??? you’re all geeks, and NONE of you have read The Hitchhiker’s Guide???? that’s craziness!

lab monkey #1: just never got around to reading it.

me (to #1): YOU! YOU WENT TO TECH! you should be ASHAMED of yourself! That book should have been required reading.

lab monkey #1: I know…I really should read it…

lab monkey #2: I don’t really consider myself a geek…

computer guy: turns back to fixing computer

me: you guys suck.

I got me a MDG!

Just saw a commercial for the International School of Pet Design. How fancy! How international! How sophisticated!

what do you learn there?

Dog grooming.

ESC trys out a business opportunity

So the crafty readers and friends seem to really like the needle holder I made. So much so, that I just made one for Julie, and now someone in my lab wants one.

This makes for interesting business possibilities…

So! If you are a crafty knitter, or know someone who is, you can ORDER one of these needle holders from me! and I will make one! And send it to you! FANTASTIC!

But…nothing is free. Yeah yeah, I know. SO SELFISH!

$30 plus shipping. either by check or paypal.

It doesn’t have to be kitchy flamingos, like mine. The one I made for Julie is very nice and tasteful, because - get this - SHE DOESN’T LIKE KITCHY FLAMINGO FABRIC! What a kook! Hopefully, she will take a picture of it when she gets it…because I forgot. D’OH!

Just place your order to: evilsciencechick (at) gmail (dot) com, and give me an idea of what kind of colors and patterns you like - let’s stick to two patterns per case - and I will make it as soon as humanly possible.

So why not treat yourself or your favorite knitter to a one-of-a-kind gift today!

(I can PROBABLY make a smaller version for the crocheters out there. If anyone is willing to let me experiment for them!)

She’s crafty!

and she’s JUST MY TYPE! HA! now you’ll be singing that all day like I have.

Anyway, the craftiness never stops around here. Since I had to drag my sewing machine out to sew the back pad on the rocking chair, I figured I might as well take care of some other projects. My winter comforter has had tears in the seam for a long time now - finally fixed that.

Annnd…the rubber bands I’ve been using to hold my knitting needles just weren’t cutting it any more. So a while back I bought some fabric for a NEW project!
