a matter of perspective

I wish my life were more interesting lately, but it’s not. Work is work. Kev’s job is still sucking right now. Finding better jobs is not going so well. Bleah.

Ravelry is keeping me busy, especially a new group that I’m helping mod and OMG is it a timesuck. Nothing like modding a large quivering mass of proto-drama to keep you on your toes. it’s been a giant time suck during my days off this week.

I do manage to get SOME knitting done, so here is a nice progress shot of my Kiri shawl:

kiri shawl progress

amazing progress, considering I only work at it when I’m at knitch. Hmmm…this doesn’t really give you a good perspective on how big it’s gotten, huh?

kiri shawl progress with perspective

there ya go. Perspective and coolness, all in one shot. of course, if it were blocked, it’d be much bigger, so really FANTASTIC PROGRESS, ESC! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AT A PAINSTAKINGLY SLOW PACE!

*weep*

Today I leave you with an oh-so-happy pic of Sadie, who got a bath because she was a smelly, dirty, UBER SHEDDING bad girl, and also got her nails trimmed. Two of her least favorite activities. But then she got a football kong with a treat shoved in it, and it was mostly all better. Mostly.

Kiri is so nice! And Sadie looks SO squeaky clean!

Perspective: The big shawl I’m knitting currently has about 900 sts per round. And I just started another one that already has 350+ sts per row.

They’ll be worth it in the end, but right now? Jeezopete….

Isn’t knitting supposed to be a stress relieving activity? What is with all the weeping? Your shawl looks great, ESC, and you should be proud of how far you have gotten…

Wow, you are so beyond what I’ve done on my stupid Kiri. Mostly because I spend more time tinking rather than knitting.

Also? I think Janice might be a little bit of an overachiever with the shawl knitting! Also, I am a little jealous because I’m pretty sure I can’t count that high.

    Dude, which group?

The shawl looks gorgeous. It almost makes me want to knit one. Almost. We’ll see about it when I’m done with the baby sweater.

I’m sure Sadie smells delicious! Have you ever thought of cutting her hair? Some friends shaved their choco lab down a bit and she seemed much cooler and happier and definitely less hair-bally. Just a thought.

Good luck on the job search!
