ESC: I wonder how they get hair cuts on the ship.
Kev: hmm?
ESC: do you think there are barbers and stylists on the enterprise and other ships?
Kev: what? uhhh…yeah, I guess.
ESC: boy, that would suck, right? I mean, you’re just this guy who’s a barber, and then all of a sudden you’re stuck in a quadrant all those light years away…and you’ll never get back, and you just have to cut the same people’s hair forever.
Kev: …
ESC: maybe they have special lazer machines to cut hair.
Kev: WHY DO YOU SPEND TIME THINKING ABOUT THIS STUFF??? IS IT JUST TO ANNOY ME???
ESC: no…that’s just an added bonus.

I wonder the same kinds of things. I want to see a toilet. I mean, they have ’sonic’ showers, what are the toilets like? And if they have pets, can they just beam the accidents out?
And why don’t they just beam everywhere, I mean it seems like such a waste. And when they beam, do they have any way to NOT beam the fat? That’d be cool..
I want to know how all the laundry gets done. Also, do they rendevous with other ships for food supplies? How can ONE cook fix that much food for all those people? What does his kitchen look like? WHO WASHES ALL THOSE DISHES?
On ST:Next Gen, there was a ship’s barber, Mr. Mot, a rotund blue dude who loved to talk.
They didn’t really reference it on the other shows.

And maybe the barber really likes cutting hair so it doesn’t bother him that he’s going to do it for all eternity. Maybe that is his idea of a good time.
Ok–a few things come to mind here.
First of all, isn’t that such a cute haircut she got? I like it much better than the bun.
Secondly, if 7 of 9 retained all the Borg knowledge, maybe she has killer hair-cutting skills. I mean, the only real change we’ve ever seen was on Janeway, and that only happened after 7 came on board.
I guess there isn’t a third. I thought there was, but maybe I forgot it. I dunno. Perhaps my mind is in the Delta quadrant.
