the obvious?

Um…OK, does this make sense?

At first, yeah, it does. Bad sex offenders! Using the internet! There are children on the internet!

And let us marvel at the stupidity of sex offenders using their real names on MySpace, allowing them to be picked up in the first place. So yes, let’s remove their profiles! Kick them off!

Force them to use a fake, harder to track name the next time they want to use MySpace to meet kids.

ohhhhh….you get it now, right?

Can’t you just use this knowledge to keep track of their activities? Who they are befriending? And nail their ass the moment they violate their parole? I can’t be the only one who’s thought of this, right? It’s pretty obvious.

right???

Sadly, since the moment we know we violate their parole is often MANY moments after they have…

There are thoughtful arguments to be made for both positions.

I still say a GPS tracking device implanted in their skull is a great idea. If we could monitor their thoughts and actions, all the better.
