HalloWEEEEENY pictures!

posting pictures is such a cheap way to get a blog post, isn’t it? Especially since I post them on my flickr site and anyone can go there to see them instead of coming here. OH WELL!

Fall is peaking in Atlanta. Lest any of you think the south has no season except summer, I present two views from my front door:

fall colors fall colors 2

there are prettier ones I see while driving around, but I don’t think stopping in the middle of Ponce to take a picture will make me very popular with the other drivers.

pumpkin in stitches! I have to carve a pumpkin every year, even though I’ve only gotten trick or treaters ONCE in the 7 years I’ve lived in atlanta (but those kids made out like BANDITS because of all the candy I had. take note atlanta/decatur kids: I have candy. Lots of candy).

I’ll update when it gets dark and I can put a candle in his head.

AND NOW IN SPOOOOOKY VISION!

all stitched up at night

By peaking, you mean “one tree has changed colors,” right? ;)

Oooo, pretty and scary all in one post!

I can’t speak for Atlanta, but when I lived in VA Beach, we indeed had only 2 seasons and no pretty colors like that.

    Fall..is..peaking?

I’m up to my calves in snow!

My scary, Tim Burton-inspired evil pumpkinhead scarecrow did not look nearly as menacing with big fat snowflakes falling all around him and on his head.

And there were barely any kids out anyway!!

    This Halloween blew.

pshaw! all our trees are pretty colors now. even my favorite “fall fire” trees are here - the maples which are fire engine red at the top and gradually work down through all the oranges and yellows to just a hint of green at the very bottom.

atlanta may be late to the fall party, but it still does it in style!

we got no trick or treaters. Kev and I will be forced to eat the rest of this candy ALL BY OURSELVES!

    dammit.

but don’t worry, we’ll get a hint of winter this weekend when we travel to pittsburgh to PAR-TAY for wedding reception #2. LIVE BAND! OPEN BAR!

    me in constricting underthingies!

    oh yeah…dancing should be fun.

I love love LOVE your pumpkin! How cute is he?!

It is the fall here in Arkansas, too. It will only last about another week, though. I’m sure it’s the same in Atlanta: the two week fall season.
