stupidity

“let’s see…well, I’m 14 years old and pregnant, and my worthless ‘boyfriend’ took off when he found out, and I really want to finish school and have a good future for myself soo…I guess I’ll just go to the clinic and…oh…wait…sweet! Never mind!”

how dumb is texas, really?

Well… choice is all about options. If a woman can give up her child for adoption, well, then that option should be presented. However, 500 dollars is a pittance. It should be much, much, MUCH more…

The insult is that they are assuming that the choice is so trivial to a woman, that she can be bought off.

I’m sure there are women out there who get abortions because they are unable to bear the financial burden of being pregnant and giving birth and raising a child. Offer these women $50,000, and maybe they’ll chance their minds.

But to the woman who has health issues where being pregnant puts her own life in risk, or who someone who is a victim of rape or incest, the idea of paying her off so that she won’t terminate the pregnancy is an insult of the highest order. It IS a choice, a serious, emotional, and often painful choice. It is not a decision that cannot and SHOULD not be swayed by some ignorant MALE politician handing out some bills. This is the ignorance of those who believe that all women who get abortions are poor, ignorant, and stupid.

This is far, far from the truth. reading some of these blog entries is enough proof that women who get abortions are from every social, economic, religions, and racial background.
