    I missed the last ‘ask blogland’ post. My mom made her maiden name (or birth name, as the feminist that she is prefers) into her middle name, but that was because she didn’t have one. Her professional name, the one that appeared on her PhD and book she published was all three names, just no hypen. But elsewhere, like credit cards, she went by simply by 2 names — her first name and my dad’s last name. Just another option to consider.

    Hey, I talked to Jordana this weekend and she said that your professional name doesn’t have to go on tax documents or anything like that - think of it as a stage name. I can’t think of a single one of my actor friends who gets the tax info as anything other than their real name, but they’re still known professionally by their stage names. It’s like a psuedonym, you can call yourself whatever the hell you want, but it’s not official (even if you registered with SAG or AEA or AFTRA) :)

    How funny! Boy and I just painted our kitchen this past weekend almost the exact color. I guess great minds think alike.
