Hope
You know, during my short blog hiatus, I missed blogging about a very special event, and I’d like to take this opportunity, on friday evening, when no one will read this, to remedy my silence.
Almost two weeks ago, our nation experienced a resurgence of hope and good will, the likes of which I have not seen in years. The throngs of cheering crowds and those of us watching at home witnessed history being made. I know many people cried. It was an amazing day for our country.
And I felt some things stir in me that I haven’t felt in a long time. Hope…and even more amazing…PRIDE. Pride in who I was and where I came from. For the first time in a long time, I felt PRIDE. And I’m looking forward to the future and what amazing things it will bring.
Of course, I don’t even have to say what event I’m talking about. It was hard to miss unless you’ve been living under a ROCK.
