It is only sticks and string, I couldn't believe the hysteria over the missing Magknits patterns and the number of people who felt that they were entitled to them. I'm staff for an anime convention that just happened this past weekend. We sold out the damn con BEFORE posting a guest list, six weeks before the event AND let another convention in the same area happening in the summertime have a full-page freaking ad in OUR program guide. Monday when I got back from con-land, I find a thread on our forum, basically asking why the staff of my con HATES that other con? WTF, really? Seriously, if there were another convention in that area it still would only be a drop in the damn bucket--it's an urban area and could easily support more of that type of entertainment, yet someone's got to start rumors that we "hate" them? I'm tempted to put out the drama-lama and a side dose of wahmbulance, but I decided to be nice.
