Everyone will be happy to know that Kev and I have been dealing very successfully with our giant mattress issue. VERY successfully. We still have research to do, though. Loooottts of research.
For science, of course.
The other bit of excitment going on right now is that I’m considering a new (additional) job opportunity. Because every little bit helps, right? I thought about what I could do to bring in a little extra cash – what are my talents? Where are my strengths?
Well, I did like working in sales – it was just the whole RETAIL HELLHOLE OF DOOOOOM! part that really brought me down.
I’m chatty. Really, I am! You can’t shut me up most days!
I like to cook. *glances at waistline* a LOT.
I like to entertain…but not to CLEAN.
Sooo…what does all this point to?
Why, a Pampered Chef sales rep, of course!
So I’m considering it. I just sent out a mass email to my local friends (hi! sorry!) to judge interest. Though if you are local and did NOT get an email, it’s because I’m a dork. Let me know if you’re interested. Basically, I’m asking two questions:
- Would you be interested in potentially hosting a Pampered Chef party?
- If you couldn’t host a party, would you be interested in attending one?
All theoretical, of course. Because if I get a big HELL NO response from everyone, I can drop this right now, before I’ve invested the money in the starter kit.
So that’s kind of exciting, right? Surely I will keep you all update on this empowering foray into SELF-EMPLOYMENT…all while under the safety of a full time job with a decent paycheck, of course

I like Pampered Chef’s toys but can seldom afford them. So, even tho I love them, I can’tusually get anything when I do go I buy one small spatula or something else I can afford so I can support my hostess but this still wouldn’t be something I’d encourage.
It’s times like this I wish I could afford reps of my own–I make a yummy product and a rep would be great for getting the word out, but going in that direction will have to wait.
Meanwhile, how about the Body Shop At Home? It’s the same nice stuff I’d make but they’re already set up to be someone’s second income, so it might be somethng to check out. And if I ever closed up shop, this is where’d I’d go for a second income.
Woo hoo!!!! I’m still considered local? I love it!
my sister used to sell pampered chef before i had reason to buy it, and i LURVE their baking stones. i should seriously be on that list for attending, i wouldn’t be ms. moneybags or anything, but i’d definitely be a repeat buyer of an item or two each time. =]
I’m a friend and I’m local (sort-of), right? I’m pregnant…so anywhere there’s food, I’m there. And I do like their stuff.
