a weekend in pictures

Kev got a new hobby that comes with a new toy…

Kev's new toy

It’s an air-soft gun. Imagine paint ball without the mess? That’s air soft. The gun shoots little plastic pellets…

that still leave nasty little welts. Kev went last weekend for the first time, and now he’s hooked. Oh well. I plan on using the gun to break up night time cat orgies outside our bedroom window.

Kev relaxes on the couch after a long day…

“hey, did you just take my picture???”

“uh huh. screw you.”

fine, then

Right after I baked my first batch of cupcakes for the GREAT CUPCAKE BAKE-OFF at Knitch tomorrow, I found out that Melissa is sick and is wussing out. Pft. All because she “can’t get out of bed” and “can’t eat anything”. WHATEVER! I am left with a batch of 25 chocolate guinness cupcakes cooling on my table…

Oh well - guess I’ll frost them and bring them in anyway. I’m sure SOMEONE there will help me eat them!

We use vanilla sauce versus icing on our Guinness cakes with espresso ice cream… just to give you another suggestion. They look fab!

Oooh! I’d already decided to make these for my St. Paddy’s day party…but with Irish cream buttercream. How did they turn out for you?

    soooooooooooooooooooo damn good!

and I would stick to the cream cheese - which you can use the irish cream to sub for milk in the making off. You need something creamy without being SO sweet for the cupcakes.
