anniversary weekend

We decided to celebrate our anniversary Saturday because we had plans on Sunday. And by “we” I mean “I” and by plans I meant church and my knitting group. Kev had plans to sleep in and play his online computer game.

What?

I wasn’t going to skip my one day a week to bond with my knittahs, just because of my anniversary. Dude. Get a grip.

So Saturday we went to a farm south of the city for a little fall festival pumpkin picking action. And to frolic with the farm animals and the residens of the “reptile house and education center”. Oh yes. Click below to see the whoe album.

Later, we drove to the ‘burbs to have yummy sushi and fine asian cuisine at a Japanese steakhouse. Where I had this conversation with the waiter.

ESC: I’d like the binbinbab

waiter: Ohhh…you know…that Korean.

ESC: yes

waiter: that OK?

ESC: yes, I’ve had Korean food before.

waiter: OK, it veerrrry spicy.

ESC: that’s OK, I like spicy.

waiter: so, OK, it comes verrry hot in a clay pot. rice on bottom, OK? Rice is on bottom?

ESC: ummmm…OK. That’s…fine.

what the hell, people? I am perfectly capable of eating spicy beef with veggies served over rice in a rockin’ hot clay pot, topped with a fried egg. Dude, it was awesome. Chili sauce on the side – niiice and spicy. Kev had the Korean bbq ribs. I guess we were in a Korean mood. Except for the awesome sushi we had for our appetizer. Mmmmm…yes, thank you sir, may I have another?

Our anniversary gifts were selected ourselves and just sort of became our gifts. Kev bought a gun, second hand, and I…well, I’m going to SAFF at the end of the month. There will be a dying class. And yarn. oooh yes, there will be yarn.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!!
