My first attempt at the Magic Loop technique:
looking mighty good, if I do say so myself. I am LOVING this technique! BIG LOVE to Julie for giving me the instruction booklet for my birfday! It’s taken me this long to get back into the sock love.
But OH MY GOD, I am am in total lust of this yarn. Interlacement’s Tiny Toes, superwash merino. It is soooo soft and cuddly. I want to rub it all over my nekkid body..mmmm…yes…yes…mmm…oh yes….
*ahem*
it’s a nice break from the writing. though between the laptop and the tiny knitting, I am all squinty-eyed. And also, I may be coming down with another cold. I am all up with the Zycam, though, to stave it off. I CAN’T GET SICK AGAIN!

I found that Zycam don’t do shit in preventing colds. But I do find that Airborne stuff is good. And not knitting too much has worked for me, too.

I love Magic Loop. I wish it had a less fruity; more “behold my earth shattering powers” name, though. Something that says, “Why yes, I *am* doing voodoo, so step back and make worshipful faces, lowly mortal.” I’ve been trying to get La to try it but she bitches and moans about “schlepping needles”. She of little faith.
LOVE the colors on that sock. Next time, I expect to see you knitting both socks at one time via magic loop! Because you are that awesome.

Jen – I bought enough interlacements to make THREE pair of socks. The next one will be “something more complicated using magic loop,” and just MAYBE, the third will be “something very simple doing both socks at once.” though I seem to remember you doing MUCH swearing when you did your “two at onces”

There is a bit of a debate as to whether or not zinc glutonate glycine is actually useful as a cold remedy. As I understand it, there is the belief among many clinicians that simply the act of taking ZGG merely convinces a person’s immune system to react more effectively against a mild respiratory inffection.
Simply put, ESC, you could simply be much more open to placebo suggestion than others. I do hope this doesn’t ruin whatever benefit you derive from ZGG.
